NXT signs commercial audio BR licence with AKOUSTIKS NXT plc, the provider of unique sound solutions, best known for its flat panel loudspeaker technology, is pleased to announce it has licensed AKOUSTIKS Pty Ltd for the exclusive use of NXT’s Balanced Radiator (BR) technology for in-wall, in-ceiling and commercial audio markets.
An Australian-based company, AKOUSTIKS has successfully developed and manufactured a range of innovative loudspeakers that deliver high levels of voice intelligibility, low frequency extension and wide dispersion patterns marketed under the CEAD acoustic brand. Recently a number of these products have been made available to a wide range of professional integrators in the residential and commercial audio markets, substantially expanding AKOUSTIKS’ market coverage.
AKOUSTIKS is focused on delivering acoustic solutions for situations that have been historically limited by the application of conventional speaker technologies. Already licensed to develop, manufacture and market loudspeakers using NXT’s SurfaceSound technology, AKOUSTIKS will now develop products using NXT’s BR technology, which delivers even sound dispersion across all frequencies from a single drive unit.
